Svetlana and Yuriy Panteleenko heard of an orphaned 3-month-old bear found in a local forest and took him under their wing. They named him Stepan and they had no idea that he would become a part of the family. Twenty-three years and 300lbs later, Stepan is still living contently with his adopted parents in Moscow, Russia.

The Panteleenko family assures everyone that Stepan is completely domesticated. He is often found snuggling one of his adopted parents.
