This Band's Music Video Is Sheer Genius
The video was actually shot in the blink of an eye, 4.2 seconds to be exact. This tiny clip was then stretched to fill the 3 minute and 42 seconds long song in a way that's no less than genius.
Apart from its catchy melodies, OK Go always pushes the visual envelope.Originally from Chicago, the quirky and indie-rock band is now based in Los Angeles. It is well known for its one-take music videos, which are incredibly difficult to coordinate to music. No wonder major companies including Google, Chevrolet and Samsung turn to them for their ads.
The Smithsonian honored the band with an American Ingenuity Award for the “Upside Down & Inside Out” video. Other recipients of the award included Jeff Bezos for reusable rockets and the duo who discovered the Flint water crisis. An impressive feat for the group.
