The House on the Rock is a tourist attraction that leaves visitors with a unique experience that can't compare to anything else. Shivers of apprehension, laughs of delight, and an open mouth will grace you as you walk up and down this breathtaking structure.
This astounding house was inspired by Neil Gaiman's novel, American Gods.
The building was constructed on top of Deer Shelter Rock by Alex Jordan, architect, inventor, and collector. "A fine example of the line between genius and madman," says a visitor. This house is the very reflection of Jordan's obsessions - stepping into this bizarre place is just like setting foot in the very brain of the architect. Take a look for yourself:

The house is full of the oddest things: eerie music, historical artifacts, collections of the weirdest things (like Faberge eggs), and function carnival games. As creepy as it sounds, the bathrooms are decorated with galleries of dolls or glass bottles.
The House on the Rock is most famous for it's Infinity Room, which stretches out 218 feet over the valley in which it's built over. Instead of walls, 3,264 windows are used to furthermore intensify the experience.
This is obviously not your ordinary house on Main Street. It's filled with the most peculiar things that somehow come together to create a startling and incredible setting. As you browse through the rooms, you can almost feel the intense thoughts of Jordan racing and jumbling around. To the average person, this building would simply seem weird and creepy.
