The Numerous Hazards of Playing Pokemon GO

The hottest game in town - Pokemon Go is so addictive that players inadvertently put themselves in dangerous situations. So much so that the app comes with a warning - "be alert at all times" and "stay aware of your surroundings."

The game encourages players to explore the real world around them in a quest "to catch 'em all," hunting down little digital creatures in the real world. And we are still frequently hearing of players immersed in Pokemon Go putting themselves in dangerous situations.

Anything that could possibly go wrong, as people run around glued to their mobile screens, has happened. The most obvious would be walking into other people, immovable objects or moving traffic, but things have gotten even more crazy since.

Players have been crashing cars, interrupting live TV and falling into ponds! Two men in San Diego fell off a cliff (thankfully onto a beach) while playing Pokemon Go. And now players in Bosnia have been warned of walking into mine fields!

Pokemon related crimes are also on the rise. Criminals are luring unsuspecting players to isolated places and ripping them off. On the lighter side, the New Hampshire police department issued an invite to all the criminals on its wanted list into the booking area of the station to catch a rare Charizard Pokemon.

With over 15 million users so far and counting, the craziness doesn't seem like it will end anytime soon.
