The Hilarious Winners Of Comedy Wildlife Awards

The Hilarious Winners Of Comedy Wildlife Awards

The first ever Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, the brainchild of Tanzania-based photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks, were handed out to the winners at a special ceremony in London.

Professional as well as amateur photographers had entered their best pics in this international photo contest. It is co-sponsored by the Born Free Foundation which ensures care for the wildlife and less fortunate.

This image of a chubby little hamster in a hurry took the top prize at the Awards. Julian Rad's hamster photo titled "Rush Hour," won him a week-long photographic safari in Africa, as well as a new Nikon DSLR camera.

Second place went to William Richardson of the UK for this stag stacked full of foliage.

The bronze was awarded to Oliver Dreike of Tanzania who snapped this gorilla picking its nose.

Other entries showcase the fact that our wildlife brethren are no different from us humans, equally prone to goof-ups, mis-steps and other embarrassing moments. We cannot wait for the next edition!
