Stunning : A Perfect Marriage of Art and Science

Cambridge is one of, if not the most prestigious universities in the world since 1209. This celebrated institution counts geniuses like John Dryden to Sir Isaac Newton as some of the most brilliant minds in human history in its roster.



This year, a gathering of minds called "Dear World...Yours, Cambridge" attracted scholars from around the world who studied in Cambridge's 31 colleges to discuss the institution's impact worldwide.



For this fundraising event at Cambridge University, groundbreaking digital artist Miguel Chevalier was commissioned to interpret the work of three of the school’s famous alumni: physicist Stephen Hawking, actor Ian McKellen, and naturalist David Attenborough.



The artist imagined a number of different graphic universes, which are generated in real time and use their own digital language to illustrate and interpret a wide variety of subjects including academic excellence, health, Africa, biology, neurosciences, physics, biotechnologies, etc.



The 16th-century Kings College chapel was transformed through lighting the the cathedral’s fan vaults, one of the finest examples of gothic english architecture. Wish we too could have been there to soak in this stunning experience. Well, there's always video streaming..
