Meet The Boy Who Used To Be a WW-II Pilot in His Earlier Life

This might seem like an episode of X-Files, but happened here in the real world. Back in May 2000, 2 year old James Leininger, was a playful toddler happily living with his parents in southern Louisiana. Then one night, he woke up screaming and thrashing around. He had experienced his first nightmare, that of being trapped in a burning airplane. rp1 Soon the nightmares grew more frequent. He started screaming the name of the 'little man' who couldn't get out of the plane. It was James - like his own name. He also spoke of 'Jack Larsen', 'Natoma' and 'Corsair'. His baffled parents did some research on these outbursts and discovered a shocking truth, that their son maybe the reincarnation of a pilot  killed in the second world war. rp2 Bruce, the father visited veterans meetings in order to learn more, and uncovered an awful secret. It turned out a pilot named James Huston Jr. had died when his plane was shot in the engine and caught fire, exactly as described by two-year-old James. rp4 What convinced the parents even more was the little James's high familiarity of military terms especially WW-II aircraft and battles. James would go onto say that he used to fly Corsair planes and went down in Iwo Jima, shot down by the Japanese and ven the name of his ship, The aircraft carrier U.S.S Natoma Bay. rp5 Though the whole idea might seem ridiculous, Bruce and his wife, Andrea, lay out some compelling evidence in their new book, Soul Survivor: The Reincarnation Of A World War II Fighter Pilot. rp3 James now 11, has forgotten the early days of his struggle, the nightmares having ceased by the time he was eight, and seems finally at peace with who he is. The family even went down to Japan, to lay some flowers at the Ocean grave of James Huston Jr.
